BREAKING: White House Physician Issues Major Trump Health Update After Recent Medical Examination

President Donald Trump remains in “excellent health” and is “fully fit” to carry out presidential duties, according to a comprehensive medical report released Friday following an examination at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center.

Dr. Sean Barbabella, Trump’s physician, conducted the extensive evaluation with a team of 22 medical specialists. The examination included CT scans, cardiac imaging, cancer screenings, and preventative health assessments.

What the Medical Report Found

Trump weighed 238 pounds during the examination, up 14 pounds from his April 2025 physical. At 6 feet 3 inches tall, his body mass index measured 29.7, just below the 30 threshold typically classified as obese.

Trump scored a perfect 30 out of 30 on the Montreal Cognitive Assessment, a standard screening tool for cognitive impairment and dementia. “Cognitive and physical performance are excellent,” Barbabella wrote in the report.

The evaluation documented minor bruising on Trump’s hands, which physicians attributed to “soft tissue irritation related to frequent handshaking” and aspirin therapy. Doctors recommended switching to low-dose aspirin and provided guidance on diet, physical activity, and weight management.

Health Improvements Noted

Trump’s cholesterol levels showed significant improvement compared to previous years. His total cholesterol measured 143, down from 223 in 2018, attributed to medications including rosuvastatin and ezetimibe.

The report noted slight lower-leg swelling related to chronic venous insufficiency, a condition previously disclosed by the White House. Physicians indicated the condition has improved since last year’s examination.

Barbabella concluded that Trump demonstrated strong cardiac, pulmonary, and neurological health with no abnormal findings. “His demanding daily schedule continues to support his overall well-being,” the physician wrote.

Context and Background

This marks the fourth publicly disclosed medical evaluation since Trump returned to office for his second term. Trump turns 80 next month, making him the oldest person ever elected president at inauguration.

Presidential health disclosures remain a matter of public interest, though no legal requirement mandates presidents release complete medical records. The release comes as the administration enters a critical midterm election cycle.
