Trump Issues Statement Regarding Health of Mitch McConnell …@#@

President Trump said Wednesday he has no information about former Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell’s health condition and has not spoken with the Kentucky Republican since his hospitalization weeks ago.

McConnell, 84, was found unconscious at his Washington home in mid-June and required CPR, according to initial reports. His office has provided limited public updates, stating only that he is receiving “excellent care” and continues to improve while working on Senate matters.

What Trump Said

Trump told reporters he has “no idea” how McConnell is faring, according to White House correspondent Libby Dean. The former president said the two have not communicated since McConnell’s hospitalization.

Senate Majority Leader John Thune previously stated he had spoken with McConnell after the incident and that the senator “sounded good” and wanted to return to work. However, other Republican senators expressed uncertainty about McConnell’s actual condition.

Mounting Questions About Transparency

Kentucky Gov. Andy Beshear, a Democrat, sent a letter to McConnell on Wednesday requesting a full health update. “As public officeholders, we have made a commitment to our constituents to do our best to represent them and to always be transparent,” Beshear wrote, adding that clear communication about his ability to serve is necessary.

Sen. Mike Lee of Utah said even members of Congress lack details about McConnell’s condition. “Many of us aren’t speaking about Mitch McConnell’s condition because we know nothing about his condition,” Lee stated.

Speculation and Uncertainty

The limited official information has fueled online speculation about the extent of McConnell’s health issues. Conservative commentator Laura Loomer claimed sources told her McConnell is in a “vegetative state,” contradicting earlier statements from Thune.

McConnell’s office last week said the senator “continues to improve” and is working with staff on Senate and Kentucky matters while the chamber is out of session.
