False claims that Donald Trump was shot again have circulated widely on social media, but no credible evidence supports the allegations.
Viral posts across Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, and X use dramatic language and sensational headlines to suggest a recent shooting involving the former president. However, verified reporting from established news organizations reveals a different picture.
What Actually Happened
The only confirmed recent shooting involving Trump occurred in July 2024 at a political rally in Pennsylvania. A gunman fired from a rooftop using an AR-style rifle, grazing Trump in the right ear before the Secret Service neutralized the threat.

One rally attendee died and several others were injured in the incident. Trump received medical evaluation and was released from the hospital shortly after.
In September 2024, gunshots were reported near one of Trump’s golf clubs in Florida, prompting a Secret Service response. No injuries occurred, and Trump was not harmed in that incident.
