Usha Vance, wife of U.S. Vice President J.D. Vance, said the family is preparing for the arrival of their fourth child, with their four-year-old daughter Mirabel expressing particular excitement about becoming a big sister.
The Vance household is preparing for a new addition. Mirabel, the couple’s youngest child among their three existing children, has shown enthusiasm about the impending birth.

Family’s Anticipation
“She is just so excited to meet her baby brother,” Usha Vance said in an interview. “Every single day, she comes up to me, wraps her arms around me, and says, ‘Mom, I want to play with him.'”

Mirabel has two older brothers, Ewan and Vivek. The family has balanced their public roles with maintaining privacy around personal milestones.

The Vances’ Perspective
“Seeing Mirabel’s excitement and the way she already loves her soon-to-arrive brother fills our hearts with so much joy,” Usha said. “It’s these simple, loving gestures that make every challenge worthwhile.”

The vice president’s family plans to welcome the newborn with what they describe as warmth and affection from the existing children.
