Former President Trump and Mexican presidential candidate discuss Trump Iran nuclear strike implications

President Donald Trump announced Saturday that the United States conducted military strikes on three Iranian nuclear facilities, including the Fordo site, prompting swift responses from international leaders.

Trump declared the operation a “very successful attack” in a post on Truth Social, calling it “an HISTORIC MOMENT FOR THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, ISRAEL AND THE WORLD.” He added that “IRAN MUST NOW AGREE TO END THIS WAR” in his statement.

Iran’s Response

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said his country “reserves all options” in responding to the military strikes. “The events this morning are outrageous and will have everlasting consequences,” Araghchi stated on X.

Araghchi framed Iran’s position within international law, saying, “Each and every member of the UN must be alarmed over this extremely dangerous, lawless and criminal behavior.” He referenced the UN Charter’s provisions for self-defense, asserting that Iran maintains the right to protect its sovereignty and interests.

Global Reaction

The announcement drew immediate attention from world leaders monitoring the escalating tensions between the United States and Iran. International observers awaited further statements from key allies and diplomatic channels regarding the implications of the strikes.
