U.S. military forces conducted strikes on Iranian positions near the Strait of Hormuz. The IRGC confirmed it launched ballistic missiles at multiple U.S. military bases in response to what it characterized as American aggression.
“In response to this heinous act of aggression, the brave warriors of the IRGC’s Aerospace Force, in the second wave of the ‘Punishing the Aggressor’ operation, launched a heavy barrage of ballistic missiles at the American Marine base in Jordan,” the IRGC said in a statement.
Iranian missiles targeted U.S. military facilities in Jordan, Bahrain, Iraqi Kurdistan, and Kuwait, according to the IRGC. Videos from the region appeared to show explosions near military installations.

Camp Tabeetin in Jordan, which hosts U.S. Marines training Jordanian forces, was among the targeted locations. Footage circulating online showed military helicopters departing the base following the attacks.
