White House Physician Releases Trump Health Update,,.#@#

President Donald Trump received a clean bill of health Friday following an extensive medical evaluation at a military hospital, with his physician declaring him “fully fit” for his duties.

Dr. Sean Barbabella conducted the comprehensive examination Tuesday at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, which included CT scans, cardiac imaging, cancer screenings, and consultations with 22 medical specialists over approximately three hours.

Trump, 79, weighed 238 pounds during the evaluation, marking a 14-pound increase from his April 2025 physical. His body mass index measured 29.7, just below the 30 threshold that medical guidelines classify as obese.

Medical Findings

The evaluation revealed strong cardiac, pulmonary, and neurological function with no significant abnormal findings, according to Barbabella’s report. “His demanding daily schedule, including multiple high-level meetings, public engagements, and regular physical activity, continues to support his overall well-being,” Barbabella wrote.

Trump scored a perfect 30 out of 30 on the Montreal Cognitive Assessment, matching results from his previous 2025 and 2018 evaluations. His total cholesterol measured 143, down substantially from 223 recorded in 2018.

Physicians documented minor bruising on Trump’s hands and attributed it to “minor soft tissue irritation related to frequent handshaking,” noting it as “a common and benign effect of aspirin therapy.” Barbabella recommended a switch to low-dose aspirin.

Ongoing Health Conditions

The White House disclosed last year that Trump has chronic venous insufficiency, a common age-related condition in which blood pools in the legs. This year’s examination showed slight lower-leg swelling, though physicians noted improvement compared to the previous year’s evaluation.

The medical assessment marks the fourth publicly disclosed evaluation since Trump began his second term in office. Trump will turn 80 next month, making him the oldest president elected to the office at the time of his initial election.

Context and Transparency

The release comes as the administration continues to demonstrate the president’s fitness for office ahead of the midterm election cycle. His predecessor, President Joe Biden, left office at age 82 after ending his 2024 reelection campaign amid questions about his age and capacity for another term.

Presidential health disclosures remain a matter of public interest, though no legal requirement mandates that presidents release complete medical records. Administrations from both parties have historically determined the extent of transparency regarding medical information.
