Kamala Harris Hints At 2028 Presidential Run –..

Vice President Kamala Harris left open the possibility of mounting another presidential campaign in 2028, telling a podcast host “I might” when directly asked about another run.

Harris made the comments during an appearance on Sharon McMahon’s podcast following her 2024 election loss to President Donald Trump. When pressed on whether she was still considering a bid for the White House, Harris declined to definitively rule out a future campaign.

Harris Keeps 2028 Options Open

McMahon asked Harris directly if she would run again. “I might,” Harris responded, offering little elaboration on the possibility.

The former vice president shifted focus to other topics during the interview, including her recently published memoir and strategies to engage younger voters. Harris currently leads polling on a hypothetical Democratic primary matchup, according to RealClearPolitics, with 28.3 percent support compared to California Governor Gavin Newsom’s 20.7 percent.

New Youth-Focused Initiative Launched

Harris announced the launch of a new organization called Headquarters, a youth-focused progressive platform designed to mobilize younger voters. The organization, rebranded from the former KamalaHQ, will be chaired by Harris in an emerita capacity.

“KamalaHQ is turning into Headquarters and it’s where you can go online to get basically the latest of what’s going on,” Harris said in a video posted Wednesday night. Democratic strategists view Harris as a potential frontrunner for the party’s 2028 presidential nomination, though no major Democratic figure has formally announced a candidacy.
