Iran’s foreign minister said his country reserves all options to respond after a military attack, as former President Donald Trump called for an immediate end to escalating tensions.
The strike marked an intensification in regional conflict, prompting swift diplomatic responses from multiple nations. Tensions have mounted following a series of cross-border incidents between the two adversaries.
Iran’s Statement
Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi released a formal response on X, stating that Tehran “reserves all options” in its next moves. “The events this morning are outrageous and will have everlasting consequences,” Araghchi said.
Araghchi urged international attention to what he characterized as unlawful military conduct. “Each and every member of the UN must be alarmed over this extremely dangerous, lawless and criminal behavior,” he stated.
International Response
Trump posted on Truth Social that “Iran must now agree to end this war,” signaling his position on the conflict’s trajectory. The statement reflected calls from multiple world leaders for de-escalation.
Iran’s invocation of UN Charter provisions underscored its legal framework for potential retaliation. The nation emphasized its right to self-defense under international law while stopping short of detailing specific response measures.
